The interdenominational Prayer Meeting will re-commence in July. As a group, we have been meeting every 4th Saturday of the month at 8am to pray for our town and our country. We began meeting in 2006 to pray for rain when it was very dry. The meeting is held in various churches in Naracoorte. We had to take a break, due to the Corona Virus. The participating churches work on a roster to conduct the meeting. If you would like to join us, you would be very welcome; our country needs our prayer. The next meeting will be 25th July at the Uniting Church at 8am. If you would like any more details, contact Pat Aylesbury 0400 027 020
Update from Andrew and the Church council re service at the Naracoorte Uniting Church
We are migrating our phone app.....Naracoorte Uniting is now launched on the CHURCH CENTRAL AUSTRALIA app.
• Saturday the 13th October Tom Golding (American Pastor/Evangelist) from Churches of Christ. Teaching/workshop/food/BBQ, 9am onwards at Trevor & Sue Barnett’s place.
• The Assembly of the Uniting Church allows congregations the right to choose whether to allow same gender marriages in their churches. The council recommends that Naracoorte Uniting Church do not allow same gender marriages in our church facilities. This decision will come to the next congregational meeting (perhaps the AGM) for ratification.
The Church Council wish to remind the congregation that with the lead up to Easter, our Community Chest cupboard needs to be 'stocked up' with food items to help people in the community that struggle. Among items that will help, are long life milk, cereal, canned fruit or vegetables, sugar, pasta and pasta sauces.
